Camp four nights at Denbigh, one of Australia’s oldest working farms (circa 1812).
Be inspired by the peaceful rural setting, colonial homestead & garden, pottery/woodworking studios & stables.
Give yourself time to be creative, learn new techniques and experience a woodfiring from beginning to end.
Friday 3 April
Arrival from 10am. Glaze your bisqued pots (which you will bring from home) with a selection of ash & stoneware glazes & pack the kiln.
Welcome dinner & slideshow by Jean McMaster.
Saturday 4 April
Woodfiring from sunrise ’til sundown.
BBQ dinner beside the brazier.
Sunday 5 April
Process farm clay then experiment and play – altering on the wheel with Jean McMaster & Susie McIntosh / handbuilding (pinching) with Vicki Grima.
Sunset drinks & swimming off the dam pontoon.
Dinner Camden Valley Inn (participants’ expense).
Monday 6 April
Pottery tool-making with David Hawkes.
Final Dinner in the hayshed.
Marty Gross Film night.
Tuesday 7 April
Unpack the kiln and appraise the work.

Denbigh is located 1 hour’s drive south of Sydney.
There are 9 places only.
This is a course for experienced potters (not for beginners).
Dinner on 5 April will be at Camden Valley Inn at the participants’ expense.
